Ok so we went up and met with the ranch owners again and saw everything in the day light and loved it. Everything is so clean and organized and the owners seem like great down to earth people. We are very excited about this opportunity. We will move there in the next couple of weeks. We are just going to try and help Harvey find our replacement here also. So please pray we can find him the right person as he was kind enough to tell us about this better opportunity!
The place is so nice and we will make quite a bit more and the house is a lot nicer and larger. It will be nice to have a house we are proud to bring visitors to:) I hate moving but this will be a great move and hopefully the last one for a while:)
Thank you to everyone for the encouragement and prayers through all of this. Most of all Thank you LORD for this:)

Communication is sooooo important...Getting better
Ok so things are looking better since my last post of needing a different job. Eric got the number for the other ranch his boss had told him he should apply at. Made a time to meet him last night and when he told his boss he would need to go his boss said he would watch the cows. So Eric just outright asked him how long do I have to find something else? Harv said oh no I worried you where thinking that all day yesterday, he says I am not telling you you have to leave I just think this opportunity is to good to pass up and if it were for two people him and his son would have taken it he said. Eric said well you really led me to believe you were telling me nicely to leave he said I am so sorry I totally see where I gave you that idea. He said no I am happy with ya here and if you want to be here fine but he said I have been here 5 years and never gotten a raise and things are never gonna be done like we would like them to. So it ended up he was trying to help us out knowing we struggle with money and such. This place makes a $1000 more a month than we do and nicer housing and then bonuses to. So we went and interviewed with him last night and he is extremely interested. He wants us to come back tomorrow during day light so he can show us all the facilities and such and if we are interested we will all make a decision. SOOOOO Please everyone pray for wisdom for us:)

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!!!!! NEED PRAYERS BADLY!!!
Ok so after I got done typing about my job interview my husband came in and informed me that his boss had nicely told him he knew of a different ranch he could go work at. That is the nicest way of saying we are going to replace you I have ever heard. Eric tried asking him what he meant, how long, why, etc. He danced around the subject and then finally said you are the greenest guy we have had. But here is the part that makes me angry, when we interviewed we were very open and honest about the knowledge Eric had and that he only had the one calving season under his belt as the night guy and such. We were also very open at the fact we didn't have to leave the job we were at for any reason and that we wanted to make sure this was a prity permanent position as we didn't have any where else to go and we don't have a savings to fall back on should we loose the job and after having talked to him and the owner they knew all this. Well now he wants more experienced in the cattle part. But here Eric is in charge of not only calving out 250 head of heifers in which they have pulled at least 1/2 so far for being to large and 4 c-sections he is also in charge of feedlot. But you add in the fact that not a gate works right in the place, the barn still had all the poop, placenta and crap in it from last calving season and more than 1/2 of the fence needs to be put back up and almost all needs tightened and you have way to much work for one person. Then the other two guys come over and can spend all day with Eric working their rears off and they think one person can do it, yeah right!!!! Maybe if he never slept and now getting about 3 hours sleep as is if he is lucky most nights.
So now we don't know what we are going to do. I have to say I am praying my rear off now and I am scared, because we don't have anywhere else to go. We are scrambling for all the want ads we can get our hands on right now. Please, Please say a prayer for us. With all that has already been going on, we definitely didn' t need this. I feel so bad for Eric, he has worked his rear off and to be honest doing a great job for the experience and lack of sleep:) He is a great ranch hand and I know he loves it, I don't want to see him feel so bad about himself. He has a lot of experience in the mechanics and then quite a bit of farming and all that so they haven't even got to see his expertise and strengths.
Thank you in advance for all your prayers!!!

A working interview today
So I had a working interview at a veterinary clinic today:) BIG YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it and the vet is a really nice lady and I think it would be the perfect place for me to work. I am hoping and praying I get it. She has one more lady tomorrow and then she will let me know this weekend. So PLEASE PLEASE PRAY!!!! This could change our life in a big way. Start paying on some of the debt and get me to some MUCH NEEDED specialists. But I need prayer for my health to let me work everyday and not crash, I am really afraid of that and I don't want to let everyone involved down.
This clinic is on site of the veterinarians home and it is just one vet and me so it is a small clinic and would be great for learning. She seems like such a great lady and we agree on so many things about animals and life so I think it would be a great fit:) I will let you know when I hear:)

Deeper blogging
I have found myself so many times wanting to write about things that are bugging me or that I am struggling with and then I stop myself because I don't want to sound like a whiner or a downer, but really to be honest I kind of started this blog so that I could write about my life as a whole. And really life has its ups and it has its downs. So I need to be more brave like some of my fellow bloggers and just write what is going on in this little head of mine.
It has been really hard the past couple weeks, I find myself sad and frustrated by so many things. I think part of not being able to just put a smile on my face and stay positive is that I feel so crappy physically. Everything has just been getting worse and worse and we just can't afford to get to the doctor. I know it is my health and that is important but if you can't you can't. So many people say well get on some disability or health help from the state and believe me I have tried, but our health care is broken!!!!!! Unless I get pregnant there is no programs out there for me right now. If anyone knows of something let me know and I will check into it. But with the Tularemia and cancer no insurance company wants to touch me for any amount of money and if they would it wouldn't cover anything but broken bones basically as the rest of the problems will be linked to the Tularemia and the cancer as that is how insurance companies get out of paying for it. Believe me I know I worked for an insurance company for 3 months and got a different job as I couldn't work for a place that screwed hard working people out of their money and did nothing for them!!!
I am still looking for work but with a 10% unemployment rate and living 40+ miles from town it has been hard to say the least. One office I interviewed at had 212 applicants and most of the others have had 60+ applicants. That is really hard to compete with. We are just lucky the housing and such comes with Eric's job so we barely scrape by to make it but then we have all the past medical bills and bills from when we lost the house so that keeps haunting us! So as you can see I feel overwhelmed and frustrated right now.
I pray about it and trust the LORD, but I know I am letting him down by still worrying about it. But it is soooooooo hard not to. I worry everyday that the cancer is back and that it is worse. But I just try to pray and keep my faith!
Sorry this is such a downer post but like I said life has its ups and downs and sometimes it is just nice to vent and get them off your chest, I appreciate everyone letting me do that. I have kept this blog private from my friends and most all my friends so that I can be free to really write without worry of what they will think or say. But honestly I find myself wondering what kind of friends are they if I can't share my struggles or feelings with them anyway. I know my family is not supportive or loving so I know better than to go to them with anything but it makes it very lonely.
I have lived out of state for almost 4 years now and have asked lots of friends and family to come visit and to come out for our wedding last September but only 3 have ever visited and no one made it out for the wedding. They all said they couldn't afford it but yet most all went on vacations instead to Vegas, Mexico, Florida, etc. That really hurts. I try to let it go, but it hurts. I am trying to just let all the hurt go as it doesn't hurt anyone but me!

Everyone loves baby pictures right....
Well these are a different kind of baby pictures:) We are up to about 40 calves now and have about 200 more heifers to go and then we start on the 1200+ cows. So as you can see that is why I haven't been blogging a lot as we have been very busy to say the least:) We had 2 sets of twins in one day the other day and they were soooo cute. Below are just some random baby pictures:)

These are the second set of twins, so cute:)

Moms and babies enjoying the nice evening

I couldn't get him to sit still for the picture but his ears make him look like yoda

This is an action shot:) Wait up guys......

Our Valentines day was.......creative:)
So since it is calving season we can't leave the ranch at all together so I tried to think of a romantic fun idea to remember our first valentines as husband and wife. I checked the weather at the beginning of the week and it was suppose to be sunny high of 38 which here that is a heat wave this time of the year. So I planned to set up a little camp in the trees and we were going to have a little dinner camp out with smores for dessert:) I got all the stuff for the campfire and chili dinner and such. Then Saturday the weather starts to change and it is high winds and wind chills around 20 below so I had to forgo my idea and was sad about my surprise. So I told Eric what I had planned and was sad it didn't workout. So this is what I walked in to when I was going to dish up dinner......
Yes my very own camp out in our living room:) He is just to sweet!!! It is silly I know, but to me it was perfect and romantic. We even had smores that we cooked on our gas stove:) And they were yummy!!!!! I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such an awesome husband. Even the dogs loved the tent and wanted to camp out to:)
I gave him his little candy basket first thing in the morning, as you can see he is tired, and hasn't gotten much sleep so that candy will help with energy:) hee hee!!! I love this man crazy hair look and all!!!!!:)

Happy Valentines Day to all!!!
Happy Valentines day to everyone!! May it be a very special one:) I put a poem below that will hit home with so many of my blogger friends:) We don't get to leave the ranch right now due to calving so we have to be creative:) Can't wait to hear everyones valentines day stories:)

A Cowboys Valentines Day Date!
If a cowboy should ask you out,
On a Valentines Day date,
Don't get in a hurry,
'Cause you can bet that he'll be late,
Some cow will sure start calvin',
'Bout the time he heads out the door,
On his way to pick you up,
On his way to pick you up,
He'd better check her just once more.
So by the time he finally gets there,
And knocks upon your door,
He will bear no resemblance to
The spiffy guy he was before.
His boots will be all muddy,
And his jeans will be all specked
With calf juice, and mud, and cow snot
His hat will be near wrecked.
Then on the way to the cafe,
He will relate every detail,
How this cute little calf had just been born,
And how he grabbed him by the tail.
And how he ear tagged and checked him,
And turned him loose just in time
When mama cow came chargin up
To squash him like a dime.
There wasn't time to go back and change,
So he came over straight away,
But he did manage to wipe of the worst of it,
With some moldy hay.
So please excuse the smell,
And the stares from those who dine,
'Cause I am tellin' ya its an honor
To be a cowboys Valentine.
Then when dinner is over,
Maybe he will take you for a tour,
And walk through the frosty pastures
Just to check the cows once more.
Then he'll drive you home,
And go with you up the walk,
But he'll probably turn down the offer
To come inside a while and talk.
'Cause a cowboy's day starts early,
If he don't get some sleep, he'll sag,
So he will leave you with a short poem,
Written on a paper bag.
It may not be wine and Roses,
A cowboy can't always afford first rate.
He'll do the best he can for you,
On a cowboy's Valentines Date!!

I haven't disapeared I promise...Calving season:)
So It has been crazy the last few days here. We are definitely in full swing on calving season. We are at like 15+ babies now with about 5 being pulled, so our odds on these heifers are going to be a lot of work!!!! Lack of sleep is an understatement:)
I had an interview at a veterinary clinic in town yesterday and am waiting to hear back, I really hope I get it. It would help us out immensely. We really need to get some bills paid off and I need to get back to the doctors. I have been having a not so fun time with my health lately. SO I REALLY REALLY PRAY this job works out! It would be a great place to work I think and I would really enjoy the veterinary field again:)
Hope everyone has a very happy valentines day!!!!!

The First baby of 2010! Superbowl baby!
Why is it they always wait till the crappiest, coldest weather to start having the babies. It is a high of 2 today and the windchill is -15 degrees and the wind is blowing like crazy. So they all look at each other and say wow what a great day to have this baby......... But I do love seeing the cute little things:) The first one born was born about 10:30 last night and it was to cold to let her stay out so we brought them into the calving barn. They will stay there probably till tomorrow when it is suppose to be a little nicer out. The second baby was born about an hour ago and then we have a bunch that may pop at anytime! I hope they wait a few days since it is suppose to warm up a bit:) I always love pictures of new babies:) Can't wait to get a good camera to take better pics.

Little heifer with her new earring:)
Eric checking her mouth to make sure she is warm enough

We seriously love our beef.......

This year is going to be full of big milestones:)
Well in less than two months now I will turn 30, yes 30 and no I don't think my life is over and I am not afraid of getting old, but I am excited to see what the next decade of my life will bring. The last decade was packed full of amazing adventures and many trials, I hope that the next one has more amazing adventures and less trials:) well if not I just pray I deal with each one as it comes in the way the LORD would have me do it:)
Also Eric turns 30 in October and this year will be our 1 year wedding anniversary:) So with all those big things in one year I find myself wanting and wishing to do something really fun and exciting to commemorate all them. Something like an awesome vacation, a cruise, or even better yet a trip to the NFR finals in Vegas:) I know we can't afford to do these things now but a girl can dream right:) After all dreams do come true sometimes:)
I have never really done anything exciting for any birthday. I mean everyone forgot my 16th birthday except my best friend and then my 18t birthday my family said I was an adult now so I can do it on my own(yes I have that kind of family) and my 21st birthday I had to work and lived far away from all my friends. I don't want to sound petty or whinny but in your life their are things you look forward to like birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, etc and for me I have never had those things so I would really like to celebrate this birthday in a special way. I want to remember it forever:)
If anyone has any cheap ideas for a way to spend my 30th birthday I would love to hear them:) After all the clock is ticking to plan:) I love having y'all to help with ideas:)

A blog friend meet up someday
It is so funny how some people you never know can become such a regular part of your life through blogs. If you live a more remote lifestyle like a lot of us ranchers do it is nice to have others to talk to and it is nice to have others that understand:) But it is funny how I catch myself telling my husband the stories of the other bloggers that I follow and that follow me. It is like we are friends, yet we have never met.
It is also nice to have advice when you need it and just have someone to say hey I am here and I hear you:) We share ourlives together and yet are sooooo far apart in some instances:)
I think it would be awesome someday to have a big blogger meet up somewhere in the country and get to shake hands and give hugs in person. Wouldn't that be the greatest:)
Hey a girl can dream:)
