A very busy but fun weekend

We had a VERY busy but fun weekend.  We went to a movie early Friday and got a call from a friend to come and celebrate a very special 21 year olds birthday with her at a local country bar.  It was a blast.  We danced, we visited and just had an awesome time.  "A" is very very important to me so it was great to be here and be able to share that with her.  We got home at around 4am and then we were up and out to get hay and such.  Then brother and sister in-law called kid free wanting to go out to do some karaoke so out we went again:)  I don't sing but Handsome does and I love to hear him:)
Then yesterday we headed up into the cascade foothills to do some target shooting and enjoy the snow:)  It was a good time all around.  This is what makes being here in all this icky rain worth it:)

The boys warming up between target shootin

The boys finished off our old laptop that gave us to many issues:)

Don't think they can repair that:)

Love the woods full of snow

A beautiful Sunday day trip

It has been terribly foggy and cold and just icky here these past 10 days.  Not a single bit of sunshine so we decided to go where the sunshine was.  We went to the beach for a day trip. It was AWESOME.  I love the beach sooooooooooo much.  It was one of the things I truly missed living in the midwest and rockies. We spent A LOT of time at the beach growing up as our family had beach houses there so we were spoiled to get to go whenever we wanted.  There is just this peace and relaxing feeling of being there.

We started out by walking to the end of the jetty.  This was Duke's first time ever seeing the beach and ocean and only like the 4th time Eric has seen it.  He has never been on the jetty so he was amazed.  You really get to see the power of the ocean standing out there.

The boys weren't to sure about having all those waves crashing around them but they did like the beach:)
Loved this picture of Handsome walking along the water line down on the beach.

It was just nice to get away and enjoy some quality time together.  We just enjoyed the sun, the somewhat warmth(50 degrees:)) We walked around town to all the cute little shops.  Went to the Tillamook cheese factory for cheese samples and ice cream of course:)  Just an all around great day.  Next time we hoping to go for couple days.

Darn flu

I haven't posted in a while but to be honest not much to post.  I got the flu/cold thing.  It started last Tuesday and I am still feeling like dog poo.  Past the contagious part but still feeling cruddy.  But with my autoimmune disorder my body still kickin me:(  Takes so long to feel better.  Hopefully next couple days be better.  We suppose to have a nice weekend so hoping to get out and do something fun.
Got the MRI results last week and it shows severe thickening in my bicep tendon, tendinosis and possible small tear again.  Also shows thickening around left arm ulnar nerve so that would explain the random extreme pain and lack of use.  Also showed some prity extreme scaring from the surgery.  So now we are working on breaking down the scaring which is VERY painful but hopefully that will help.  I will also be sent back to Colorado next month for an exam.  So hopefully next couple months will bring some big strides.
Now that holidays are over and such I am working on trying to get things more settled around here.  We are trying to figure out if this is the house we will stay in.  It is such an amazing place.  We LOVE the house but it is prity expensive and we can't have our horses here.  So we are trying to decide what to do.  We do have our lease till may and then we can find something else if we would like.  Do we shall see.  But Eric is loving the new job and it seems to be a good fit.  So that I am very happy for.
Well hope all my fellow bloggers are healthy and well.

MRI done and results tomorrow

My new doctor finally decided trying the things we already tried and still aren't working wasn't the way to go. I was glad to hear that:)  I was getting prity frustrated with doing the same thing with no good results.  So he decided we needed to do an MRI to see how things healed in my bicep tendons after the surgery.  He wants to make sure there aren't any nerves entrapped  no bone infections, or any other problems.  So praying there is an obvious and fixable answer.  To say the MRI was painful is an understatement but at least it is done and tomorrow I should here some answers.  Going into yet another new year still so messed up has been trying but I am praying and hoping for 2013 to be the year we get it fixed and that I get better.  I can't wait to get back to fun, riding, work, etc.  Thank you to everyone who has prayed and been encouraging during this time.  I TRULY appreciate it!

What you want and remember and what it truly is..

well we have been in Oregon almost two months.  It has been 6 years since I left here.  I was happy and broken over it at the same time.  I was glad to be away from cruddy weather, family and friend drama and traffic and busy busy busy.  I was looking forward to seeing where life would take me with a VERY amazing man.  I was excited about living in a more down to earth, slower lifestyle with a lot less hustle bustle and traffic.  I would NEVER change my decision for sure.  Being with my handsome is the best thing I ever did.  But I was use to lots and lots of people and always being gone and doing.  Nebraska was a lot slower paced.  Plus it was hard missing out on things here with friends and family.  I have struggled with wanting to be back in Oregon and wanting the ranching or slower life.  It as hard for me not to have the best of both worlds.  But I would come home to visit and some of it I would miss so desperately but a lot I would see and be like man I don't miss that at all.  We have gone back and forth for so long.  My family and friends always say move back, be here.  But we were both hesitant in a lot ways for a lot of reasons.  But when Eric's job again went south in Colorado and beings we were there for 2 years and it just wasn't the place for us Eric wanted to make the move here to Oregon.  Part of me wanted to but a big part of me didn't.  But I left my family talk us into it.  Even though in my gut it felt off and wrong.  Especially after we had to make a trip back to South Dakota to get our storage unit.  South Dakota just felt like home!!!
So here we are here in Oregon and it is HARD.  I find myself  feeling so ungrateful but also wondering if this was a BIG mistake.  I am trying to keep and open mind.  But I have realized especially in the past year that things we remember or the way we see things aren't what they use to be or aren't how they really were necessarily.  Being back here really reminds me why I left.  That is so hard.  But everyone is in different places in life, and we are different.  You can't be gone 6 years and expect the same.  It is hard not to fit in.  But at the same time I don't want to fit into some of the things that go on.  I am not a drinker, I am not a irresponsible partier, I don't want to just gossip and bash on people.  I want to live my life the best I can in a positive manner and how GOD would like me to.  I am not perfect in anyway and I have a lot to learn for sure.  I know that even in the past few years of writing this blog I find myself seeing a lot of mistakes I have made and a lot of bad decisions.  But at the same time I see a lot of growing and I know there is a lot yet to be done.  I know I have a lot to work on and I am trying to do that.  I just struggle with that fine line of not letting people hurt you and push you around and being to intolerant.  My personality is you hurt me and I will not take it and I will push you out.  I don't need bs and crap in my life.  But I don't want to be cold and unfeeling.  So I really am trying to look at every situation and every person individually and look at the motivation and circumstances.  So I am not sure where we will go from here.  If we will stay in Oregon or if GOD will take us else where but no matter what it is I know I will see growth.

2013 is here

So it is officially 2013.  I see so many reminiscing in their year and making resolutions for this year.  I find myself doing the same.  I don't want to pick things I know are not attainable this year or to say something I don't intend to keep.  I think it is important to hold ourselves to our own word and that means even to our selves:)  So I want to set realistic goals for myself this year.  I won't bore you with those:)

I am always excited to see what a new year brings.  I loved the quote from yesterdays picture about it being a new 365 day book so make it a good one.  I want to see some changes in myself by the end of this year so  I am really going to try and make a conscious effort to make changes, even if it is just small changes in many areas in my life.  My health has really changed who I am and I don't like that.  I don't want it to win for sure but I have to realize I am not invincible and that we as humans have limitations whether we want to hear that or believe it.  I just need to look at other parts of me and develop those.  I am definitely learning more patience, tolerance and understanding.  I try and remember when I see people not to judge to quickly as we don't know their whole story and what they are capable of mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.  That we are all different and we are all going through different journeys at different times.  I really repeat in my head a lot "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and "how would I feel in that situation"  It has really helped me to not be so judgmental.

I hope everyone had a great new years eve.  I got to spend it with my best friend of over 20 years and her family so it was great.  And husband won the texas hold em game so he was happy:)  May this new year bring hope, love, change, happiness, growth, blessings, and so much more!!!
