well this could ruin a day

Eric came in with a not so happy look on his face a couple days ago. I asked what was wrong and he said well I was driving on the dirt road in one of the fields and suddenly all the oil pressure alarm went off and I had been going through a bumpy muddy puddle so I shut the truck off and got out to see what was going on and to my big surprise......The bumper was under the truck!!! Yes the bumper fell right off of the truck. Well one might say how did you not notice the bumper fall off, but when you are going through a bumpy puddle anyways you wouldn't and the bumper is not visible from inside the truck. So as you will see in the pictures it is not prity and did some prity good damage. We had to have a wrecker come out and tow it back to the main ranch house. It put a huge hole in the oil pan, went up through the hood and lights and other stuff. When we got to looking at it the bumper was DEFINITELY not installed right and all that had been holding it on was a few little bolts. I just want to say the boss is lucky it happened where it did, if he had been going down the interstate or something with a load of cows at those speeds, I don't even want to think of what might have happened:( YIKES!!!!

A new addition to our little family

So if you have been reading my blog you probably got to read about how I had to give up my horses:( They were my babies and not a day goes by it doesn't make my heart ache. Well since we have moved to a better place and make a little more Eric has been dieing to get another horse, but me..............not so much. Now let me explain. Horses are the most amazing thing in this world and they are sooooo very very special to me and I never imagined my life without them, but when I had to give mine up because of my being sick and us not being able to afford to take care of me and them it broke me. I won't lie that was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, and I have done a lot of hard things but I felt not only like I was loosing my "kids" But I felt like I let them down completely:( So to say the least I have been very very hesitant to even talk about a horse.
Well last Friday Eric came in and announced he is going to go get a horse. He found him listed on craigslist and he was "Free" ya we all know they are never free:) I got very tense and wasn't very happy about it but decided to go with him. The trip took longer than we thought to get there so it was dark. Great it is dark and only a flashlight to check him out. But he walked right up to me and did everything I asked:) The poor guys feet are terrible and the lady didn't know anything about horses and he was in a tiny little pen and had cut his foot really bad but she had never even noticed. So me being the sucker I am couldn't leave him there so home he came:)
He is settling in great and is so friendly. He hasn't been ridden in a year so we will just start out slow and get him going good:) But first we have got to do something about his terribly long cracked feet. But I think he is going to make a good little horse. It has been nice having a horse around again.
Well the below pictures are his pictures, but keep in mind this is when we got him so he still has burs in his mane and bad feet. Plus some of the angles aren't very flattering:) I will get after pics in the next couple days:) OH and his name........................"Pringle" dumbest name ever!!!!! We may have to try and change it:)
Well meet pringle.....

Pringle meets his new neighbors:)

The cut is healing but lots of proud flesh. How do you not see that??? Terrible feet, but I am going to trim them up tomorrow. It will take a long while to get them back to normal but we will do our best:) Got to get his toes brought in and then his heals up, he is almost walking on his hairline, not to menchin how bad his bars and frogs are. We will get him all fixed up:)

Afraid of Fear!!

What an oxymoron for a title huh:) But it sums me up prity well. I am afraid of a lot of things and even afraid of being afraid. We are on week 4 of Beth Moore and in the video she started talking about how crippling fear can be and it was so funny because that was something I had been really praying on and trying to figure out.

I have just been through so much in life that it has made me get more and more fearful. I try to not worry so much and I try not to fear so much, but it seems every time I had let my guard down I have been hurt either physically or emotionally. But my other fear is that if I stop myself from doing things or letting people in that I will miss out on some really great things!!! Which I think is totally true.

I am not afraid to die. I have had to face that all to many times in my life and I am not afraid. I know that I am saved and I know that an awesome eternity with God awaits me:) But I am afraid of loosing those I love. My poor husband had to deal with that a lot, I am a safety patrol officer in our life:) I know he just wants me to get off his back I am sure but I am so afraid of loosing him or even have him get hurt badly. So I am constantly asking him to do things safer or pay closer attention which in something is not bad at all, I think being safe is a good thing, but when it crosses over and makes me not enjoy the things we are doing cause I am so afraid of what might happen that is what gets in the way!!!

I guess the eye opener was Beth saying even if your worst fears come true you will be ok!!! True!!! I am trying to pray really hard and to let myself relax, put it all in his hands and to trust GOD!!!! It is going to be so hard for me as I just have that nagging feeling something bad is going to happen all the time and I was never like that before, but as life has thrown one thing after another, after another at me it is hard.

I am going to trust the LORD and really try hard to let the LORD heal this in me. But I know it is truly hindering me in my life and defiantly in my relationship with GOD. I just want to not worry:)

Thank you LORD for finding me a place here:)

Well I have been praying for a place here, I know as Carrie Underwood songs says This is just our temporary home, but I want to enjoy it and live it to the fullest. I had been praying for some good friends and for a place to worship the LORD and grow in him. Well some prayers were answered!!! I know I shouldn't be surprised because the LORD is faithful:) We have been getting to know our new neighbors and having a great time with it. Denise offered to take me with her to her women's bible study group and last night was the first night. Can I just say it was awesome!!! We are studying the book of Esther from Beth Moore. It is awesome and it felt so good to be included and to meet some very nice women near us. The LORD knows what we need:)
I am just so glad we are finally finding a place that we seem to fit in so far. We haven't been anywhere that has felt like this so far. I keep praying the LORD will just help us to grow in him deeper and deeper. It is just so awesome to have such neat friends to share that with:)

I am a terrible blogger!!!

So I have not dropped off the face of the earth, but I am sure it seems like it. But things are crazy busy here with calving and everyday ranch work! I am in charge of calving so it keeps me busy and tired!! That is another problem; my body is not cooperating with me at all. I have been feeling so bad lately and am sooooo exhausted!! I will have to find a doctor up here and get in soon. To many things that are not right and it is starting to really make me nervous. Lots of praying has been done.

But on a great note, we have really enjoyed getting to know our neighbors lately. We even had Easter dinner with our neighbors down the road. I really enjoy them and their 4 kids are soooo stinkin adorable and have a million questions for us:) SOOOO cute!!! But it is nice to have friends and close by:) And the best part is that Denise invited me to join her women's bible study group:) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way excited for that!! I miss church and bible studies so this is going to be great. My first study will be Thursday. I just hope the rest of the group likes me:)

We have had dinner twice with our other neighbors and fellow ranch hands also. They are a Hispanic family with 5 kids. It is so fun to get to know them. They had a good laugh giving Eric really hot jalapenos the other night, of course they weren't hot to them:) Soooo funny. It is so nice to have close neighbors who are so kind and fun. I have been thanking the LORD for new friends:)

So as you can see lots has been going on and keeps me busy all day so finding time to blog has been tough, but I will try better to blog more and about interesting things:) Hope everyone had an awesome Easter!!!

Happy Easter to all!!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter!!! I can't help but feel so amazing today, to think and know with all my heart that because of what Jesus did for us I will be spending eternity in his presence. That is sooooooo amazing. How many of us would make that ultimate sacrifice? I found this poem and thought I would share it for Easter. May every ones Easter be extremely blessed and may everyone remember and be thankful for what the LORD has done for us!!!
Easter Joy
Jesus came to earth,
To show us how to live,
How to put others first,
How to love and how to give.
Then he set about his work,
That GOD sent him to do;
He took our punishment on himself;
He made us clean and new.
He could have saved himself,
Calling angels from above,
But he chose to pay our price for sin;
He paid it out of love.
Our Lord died on Good Friday,
But the cross did not destroy,
His Resurrection on Easter morn
That fills our hearts with joy.
Now we know our earthly death,
Like his, is just a rest.
We'll be forever with him
In Heaven, where life is best.
So we live our lives for Jesus,
Think of him in all we do.
Thank you savior; Thank you LORD.
Help us love like you.
